Leah Reinert (MHEC)

Leah Reinert serves as the Policy and Research Manager where they will provide research, management, and support for the Policy and Research Unit including coordinating and facilitating research and policy program and project work to result in outcomes which advance MHEC's Strategic Framework.

Leah was an intern at MHEC during their graduate studies and is excited to be returning to contribute to the work MHEC does for higher education. After earning their Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Minnesota in 2016, Leah taught at the University of Northern Colorado in the Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership program for one year. For the last three years, Leah has worked as a freelance academic editor and consultant. They started their editing business, Everyone Needs an Editor, in 2017 and have enjoyed helping graduate students and faculty feel confident in their writing, knowledge, and contributions to the scholarly world. Most of their clients are in education disciplines and therefore, Leah is constantly learning about the most recent research on education topics.

Leah joined MHEC in December 2020.
